Movie Review: Uncle Nino

I've seen this "under-the-radar" movie a few times over the last number of years and I'll be honest in that I can never exactly remember what it's about before I watch it again. All I know is that after I watch it, I always end up feeling good and that it's a positive and encouraging movie with good messages. But I guess it's one of those "easily forgettable" good movies...
Anyway, this is a great family-night movie! It has a little bit of a slow start, but it starts taking off once the uncle actually gets picked up and home to his American family. Basically through the course of the movie, we see how the pretty much non-English speaking elderly Italian uncle that his American family didn't really want to have visiting them, ends up positively affecting each of them in significant ways. This is especially true of his nephew and nephew's son (the overworked/stressed dad and the rebellious teenager). Throw in a girl and a puppy for good measure and you've got the makings of an enjoyable family-friendly movie!
